Early details surrounding the upcoming lineup from Xiaomi have now surfaced extensively online, revealing both the design and full specifications of the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. As expected, the T-series continues to focus on delivering a balance between performance and price, but this year’s leaks suggest a noticeable shift toward a more premium positioning.
Based on the leaked renders, both devices retain Xiaomi’s familiar design language, featuring a large rectangular camera module on the rear. While they may look similar at a glance, there are notable differences in build quality. The Pro variant is expected to feature a metal frame, giving it a more premium and solid in-hand feel, whereas the standard model is likely to stick with a plastic frame. In terms of color options, both devices are rumored to arrive in several finishes including blue, black, and a more vibrant purple variant.
On the display front, Xiaomi appears to be pushing for a better visual experience across both models. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro steps things up with a larger 6.83-inch OLED panel and a smoother 144Hz refresh rate. This makes the Pro model particularly appealing for mobile gaming and multimedia consumption.
Performance is another area where the two devices begin to diverge more clearly. The Xiaomi 17T is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, targeting strong everyday performance with capable gaming support. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to feature the more advanced Dimensity 9500 chipset built on a 3nm process, potentially delivering near-flagship-level performance. This effectively positions the Pro model much closer to premium-tier smartphones.

50MP Camera Setup With Enhanced Zoom
Photography remains a key focus, with both models expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera. This is accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering up to around 5x optical zoom, as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. On the front, a 32-megapixel camera is included for selfies. The Pro model is said to benefit from a more advanced sensor, which should result in improved image quality, especially in low-light conditions and dynamic range.
One of the most significant upgrades this year comes in the form of battery capacity. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro could feature an even larger 7,000mAh battery alongside 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This indicates a stronger emphasis from Xiaomi on battery endurance, an area that continues to grow in importance among users.
In terms of software and connectivity, both devices are expected to run on Android 16 paired with the latest version of HyperOS. They are also likely to come equipped with 12GB of RAM and storage options of up to 512GB. Connectivity features differ slightly, with the standard model supporting WiFi 6E, while the Pro variant is upgraded to WiFi 7 for better future readiness.
Perhaps the most surprising aspect of these leaks is the pricing. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to be priced at around €749, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro could reach approximately €999. This suggests that Xiaomi may be repositioning the T-series away from its traditional “flagship killer” identity toward a more premium segment.
With the volume of information now available, an official launch is likely just around the corner. While these details remain unconfirmed for now, they paint a clear picture of Xiaomi preparing to introduce devices that are more powerful, more refined, and ultimately more expensive than their predecessors.
