Motorola is once again aiming to capture attention in the premium foldable market with the launch of the Motorola Razr Ultra 2026, a new model that brings a more luxurious design, a larger battery, and a brighter display compared to its predecessor. However, these upgrades also come alongside a noticeable price increase. One of the biggest highlights is the introduction of new rear panel finishes. Motorola now offers a Cocoa wood finish variant alongside an Orient Blue Alcantara version, making it one of the most distinctive foldable smartphones currently available. Alcantara is commonly associated with luxury car interiors and premium laptops, giving the device a softer and more premium feel in hand.

In terms of specifications, the Razr Ultra 2026 continues to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Motorola also retains the 7-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, but brightness has now been increased to an impressive 5000 nits peak brightness, higher than the previous generation. The 4-inch outer display also receives a boost to 3000 nits brightness. Motorola is also placing a major focus on battery life. The device now packs a 5000mAh silicon-carbon battery, making it one of the largest batteries ever included in a premium flip foldable smartphone. It supports 68W wired fast charging and 30W wireless chargingand 5W reverse wirelesscharging.

For photography, Motorola equips the phone with a new 50MP main sensor featuring LOFIC technology designed to improve HDR performance and dynamic range. It is paired with a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP selfie camera. Motorola has also added several AI-powered features and new shooting modes, including a camcorder mode that allows users to control zoom gestures while recording video.Despite the interesting upgrades, pricing has become one of the biggest talking points surrounding the Razr Ultra 2026.

Motorola has set the price at around USD1499, roughly USD200 higher than the Razr Ultra 2025. Some reviewers argue that the increase may be difficult to justify considering the device still uses the same processor as last year’s model.Still, in terms of overall design and premium feel, the Razr Ultra 2026 is widely seen as one of the most attractive foldable smartphones on the market today, especially for users looking for something more unique compared to the typical Samsung Galaxy Z Flip design.
